    Harry G. Huff, 62, of Rockville, Md.; and formerly of Jennings, Md., died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1988, at his home. Born in Jennings, Md., he was the son of Mrs. Alice (Guinn) Huff, Frostburg, Md. and the late Ira Huff. He was a 1943 graduate of Grantsville High School, Md., and served in the Army during World War II and attended Frostburg State College. A graduate of Echols School of Mortuary Science, Philadelphia, he moved to the Rockville area, where he was the manager of several Hot Shoppe restaurants for 31 years. He was a member of Grantsville Lutheran Church, Mountain Lodge 99, AF&AM, Frostburg, Md., and the William D. Byron Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hagerstown, Md. Also surviving are his widow, Elizabeth Jane (Beachy) Huff; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Amelia Morgan, Reading; Mrs. Amy Frances Otto and Alice Guinn Huff, both of Gaithersburg, Md.; one son, Ira Huff, at home; and one brother, Luther M. Huff, Grantsville, Md. Services were held Friday in the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, Silver Spring, Md. Interment, Parklawn Cemetery, Rockville. The Republic, January 14, 1988

    Ira L. Huff, 81, of 100 Honeysuckle Lane, died December 22, 1983, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland. Born in Jennings, Maryland, he was a son of the late John Huff and Sally (Blocher) Huff. He was a member of King Solomon Lodge 346 F&AM, Connellsville, and was a retried grocer. He was owner of Huff's Market, Grantsville, Maryland. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice (Guinn) Huff; two sons, Luther Huff, Grantsville; Harry Huff, Rockville, Maryland; one brother, William Huff, Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Durst, Uniontown; and Mrs. Melva A. Yommer, Grantsville; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where services were held with the Rev David Fetter officiating.     Alice A. Huff, 87, formerly of Grantsville, MD, who resided at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home, died Sunday, April 15, 1990, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, MD. Born Oct. 16, 1902, in Jennings, MD, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Lottie (Stahl) Guinn. Her husband, Ira L. Huff, died Dec. 22, 1983. One son also preceded her in death. With her husband, Mrs. Huff formerly owned and operated Huff's Market in Grantsville, MD. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Jennings, MD. Surviving are one son, Luther M. Huff, Grantsville, MD; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, MD, where services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. David Fetter. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.     Grantsville, Md., Nov. 8 — Mrs. Harriet A. (Broadwater) Blocher, 95, widow of Jacob Blocher, died yesterday morning at the home of her son, John Blocher, Jennings. Seven weeks ago she sustained injuries in a fall. The youngest of twelve children of Amos and Sarah (Sigler) Broadwater, she was the last of the family. Among the survivors, which include four generations; in addition to her son, are five daughters, Mrs. Louise Wilt, Westernport; Mrs. Effie Custer, Eckhart; Mrs. Enoch Robeson, Avilton; Mrs. Zelphia Wilt, Swanton; and Mrs. George Bowers, Jennings. Mrs. Blocher was a Methodist. The Cumberland Evening Times, November 8, 1940



    She was buried on 10 Nov 1940 in New Germany Methodist Cemetery, New Germany, Garrett Co., Maryland. Grantsville, Md., Nov. 11 - Services for Mrs. Harriet Blocher, 95, widow of Jacob Blocher, were conducted yesterday afternoon from the New Germany Methodist Church by Rev. Leonard L. Wright, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, Frostburg, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Virgil R. Gillum, pastor of the Grantsville charge, Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Ira L. Huff, Grantsville; Victor Blocher, Breezewood, Pa.; Edwin Robeson, Long Stretch; Glen Custer, Eckhart; Porter Wilt, Swanton, and Roy Wilt formerly of Westernport, all grandsons. Flower bearers were Mrs. Harry Yommer, Grantsville; Fannie Wilt, Westernport; Viola Wilt Cumberland; Mrs. Gay Wamick, Cresaptown, and Miss Mary Custer, Eckhart, granddaughters, and Mrs Neil Morris, Ohiopyle, Pa., great-granddaughter. The Grantsville Methodist Church choir sang, with Mrs. Leonard B. Schaefer, organlst. Surviving besides her son and five daughters are 41 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, thus she leaves 138 descendants. Mrs. Blocher had been the oldest living member of the Cornelius Broadwater clan, her parents, Amos and Sarah (Sigler) Broadwater, being pioneer settlers of this section.
