Kenneth O. Crowe, 41, of Grantsville, died March 29, 1972, in West Virginia University Medical Center, Morgantown. Born in New Germany, he was the son of the late Owen and Nellie (Coleman) Crowe. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Viola Davis, Geneva, Ohio, and Mrs. Owena Miller, Grantsville. Funeral service was conducted Friday afternoon in New Germany Methodist Church by Rev. Paul Lovejoy. GRANTSVILLE — Mrs. Nellie Irene Crowe, 44, widow of Owen Crowe, New Germany, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. She had been in ill health for nine months. A native of Shade Mills, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Armada (Durst) Poleman. Mrs. Crowe was a member of New Germany Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Kenneth Crowe, New Germany; two daughters. Misses Viola and Ovena Crowe, both of Cumberland, and five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Ross and Mrs. Della Shunk. both of Salisbury, Pa.; Mrs. Gertrude Miller, Springs, Pa.; Mrs. Minnie Baker, Grantsville, and Mrs. Nora Towson, Watson, W. Va. The body is at the Winterberg Funeral Home here. Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. tomorrow at the New Germany Methodist Church. Rev. D. J. Funeral services for Daniel Webster Crowe were conducted from the New Germany Methodist Church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 28. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery under the direction of William Winterberg, local mortician. Mr. Crowe died at his home at New Germany about 7 o'clock Saturday evening, Jan. 25, after an illness of about ten days. He was one of the substantial citizens of the community and was well known throughout this section. His entire life was spent in the New Germany community where he was born. Assisted by his son, Stanley Crowe, he successfully operated a large farm near here. Surviving besides his wife, Ada Crowe, and their son, are two brothers, Robert Crowe and Stewart Crowe, and three grandchildren, all of New Germany. Mr. Crowe had been a faithful and devout member of the New Germany Methodist Church for many years. Meyersdale Republican, January 30, 1941

Jan. 28 - Funeral services for Daniel Webster Crowe, 75, farmer, were conducted this afternoon from the New Germany Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. He was a son of the late Henry and Harriett (Durst) Crowe. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ada (McIntyre) Crowe; a son, Stanley Crowe, and two brothers, Robert and Stewart Crowe, New Germany. Funeral rites were held Sunday afternoon from the New Germany Methodist Church for Mrs. Ada Crowe, widow of the late Webster Crowe. Rev. Virgil R. Gillum officiated and interment was in the adjoining cemetery under the supervision of William Winterberg, local mortician. Mrs. Harry L. Yommer was the soloist. Pallbearers were Harry Miller, Gideon Miller, Howard Miller, Leland Swauger, Henry Durst and Floyd McIntyre. Mrs. Crowe died about 10 o'clock Wednesday night, March 4, at her home at New Germany, Md., at the age of sixty-four years. She had been in failing health for about a year. Born in the rural section of Barton, Jan. 14, 1878, she was a daughter of Peter and Mary Ellen Broadwater McIntyre. She had made her home in the New Germany community for many years. For more than fifty years she had been a member of the New Germany Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, Stanley Crowe, New Germany, two brothers, William McIntyre, Merrill, and George McIntyre, who resided with her, and a sister, Mrs. John Wiland, New Germany. Notes:

Mrs. Harriet Crowe, an aged and most respected lady, residing near New Germany, departed this life April 12, 1898. She had been an earnest, faithful member and worker in the M. E. Church for many years. She was familiarly known as "Aunt Harriet" and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She often remarked to her family she was ready to die. She was an inspiration not only to her own family but to all with whom she came in contact. While she is dead she yet speaketh. The Republican, Ruth Enlow Library, Garrett County

She was buried in Blocher Cemetery, Garrett Co., Maryland.
