    William "Dick" O. Patton, 58, formerly of near Grantsville, Md., died Tuesday in Goshen, N.Y. He was a son of the late Henry and Molly Fuller Patton. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Kelly, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Mrs. Ellis Coughenour, Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Lott Sheets, Uniontown, Pa., Mrs. Lee Durst, Grantsville; and one brother, Norman Patton, Grantsville. Burial was in Goshen, N.Y. Meyersdale Republican, February 11, 1943

    Grantsville, Md., September 12 - Mrs. Cora Davies, 58, died Wednesday at St. John's Hospital, Akron, Ohio, where she had been a patient since August 3. She was born at New Germany, a daughter of the late George and Sarah (Crowe) Miller. She had lived in this community till about twenty years ago when she moved to Akron. She was twice married, first to William O. "Dick" Patton, to which union two daughters were born. They are Mrs. Violet Coughenour and Mrs. Joseph Kelley, both of Akron. Later she married John Davies of Akron, and one daughter, Wilma Ann Davies, survives this union. She was a sister of Mrs. Henry F. Durst, and Mrs. Richard Layman, Grantsville; Mrs. Charles Baum, Berlin, Pa.; Mrs. Alice Lydinger, Akron; Howard Miller, Hoyes, Md.; George G. Miller, LaVale; and Harry O. Miller, Grantsville. The funeral was held this afternoon at Akron. The Cumberland Evening Times, September 12, 1941

    Grantsville, Md., March 16 - Sarah M. Miller, a native of New Germany and a pioneer resident of Garrett county, died early today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry F. Durst, this place, after a lingering illness. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. from the Methodist Episcopal Church, New Germany, of which she was a lifelong member. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crowe. Surviving are three sons, Howard M. Crowe, McHenry, Md.; George G. Crowe, LaVale, Md., and Harry O. Crowe, Grantsville, and six daughters, Mrs. Charles A. Baum, Berlin, Pa.; Mrs. J. L. Fresh, Frostburg; Mrs. Richard Layman, Avilton; Mrs. Cora Davies, Akron, O.; Mrs. Allen Leidinger, Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Durst. She was a sister of Robert and Stewart Crowe, Avilton, and Webster Crowe, New Germany. She leaves also 37 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.     Grantsville, Md., March 17 — Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah M. Miller, who died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Durst, this place, will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. from the Methodist Episcopal Church, New Germany. Among her survivors are three sons, Howard M., George G., and Harry O. Miller. The Cumberland Evening Times, March 17, 1937

    Mrs. Harriet Crowe, an aged and most respected lady, residing near New Germany, departed this life April 12, 1898. She had been an earnest, faithful member and worker in the M. E. Church for many years. She was familiarly known as "Aunt Harriet" and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She often remarked to her family she was ready to die. She was an inspiration not only to her own family but to all with whom she came in contact. While she is dead she yet speaketh. The Republican, Ruth Enlow Library, Garrett County

    She was buried in Blocher Cemetery, Garrett Co., Maryland.
