  1. 1.  Heyl Delk Walker was born about 1896 in Wardensville, Hardy County, West Virginia; died on 2 Nov 1958 in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland.

    Notes:

    Heyl Delk Walker, 62, of 534 Fairview Avenue, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at his home. Born in Wardensville, W. Va., he was a son of Mrs. Daisy (Orndorf) Walker, Suitland, Md., and the late Angus M. Walker. Mr. Walker was co-owner of the Walker Radiator Service in Cumberland for 24 years and for the past 15 years he was employed by Allegany Ballistics Laboratory. He was a veteran of World War 1 and was a member of Fort Cumberland Post 13, American Legion; Piedmont Lodge 112 LOO Moose; Aerie 245, FO Eagles; Potomac Lodge 100, AF & AM; Cumberland Consistory Scottish Rite; Ali Ghan Temple Shrine, and a member of the Lutheran Church. Surviving besides his mother are his widow, Ovelia (Crowe) Walker; two brothers, Norman Walker, Hyattsville, and Lynn Walker, this city; and two sisters, Mrs. Audrey Stuckey, Hyattsville, and Mrs. Lois Hadra, Suitland. The body is at the Silcox Funeral Home where services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. by Rev. John F. Sammel, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
