Mount Savage, MD - Nicky Allen Linn, 53, of Mount Savage, MD, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 22, 1961, in Cumberland, MD, Nicky was the son of the late Thomas Joseph Linn and Othalia Alma (Hamilton) Linn. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Ann Linn; a sister-in-law: Bonnie Linn; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Tharp and Rick Boner and a nephew, Jeffrey Allen Gallen. Nicky was a life member and bartender and was an active president of the Cumberland Outdoor Club. He was also a life member of the Good Fellowship Club and a member of the Piney Mountain Sportsman Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle and four-wheelers. Nicky is survived by his wife of 27 years: Kathryn Ann (Sines) Linn; and his children: Kelsie Nicole Linn and fiancé, Tyler Greise; and Zachary Allen Linn and girlfriend, Brice Blankenship. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters: Kulleena “Doll” Catherine Gallen and husband, Nick, Wiley Ford, WV; David Riley Linn and wife, Nina E. “Snook;” Ronald Alexi Linn; Thomas Gary Linn and wife, Leona all of Cumberland, MD; Linda Mary Linn and special friend, Terry Smith, Wiley Ford, WV; Sharon Tharp and friend, Charles Liller, Cumberland, MD; Sheila Rae Boner, Wiley Ford, WV; Vicky Sue Wilson and husband, James, Beans Cove, PA; and Terry Lee Linn and wife, Kim, Mount Savage, MD. Nicky is also survived by his in-laws: George and Patricia Shimer; a brother-in-law: Mark Allen Sines; a sister-in-law: Lisa Jean Snyder; 29 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and great nephews; and his beloved pets: Cappy and Bella. A Celebration Nicky's Life with friends and family will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 3:00 P.M., at the Cumberland Outdoor Club. MT. SAVAGE - Mrs. Mary Catherine Rice, 53, wife of Edward Rice of Sunny Side, died this morning in Allegany County Infirmary. She was the daughter of William and Clara (Schell) Murray. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters by a former marriage, Mrs. Andrew Santore, Baltimore Pike, and Mrs. Thomas Linn, Sunny Side; 14 grandchildren, one brother, William Murray, Cumberland; and three sisters, Mrs. Othalia Hendley, Springfield, W. Va.; Mrs. Alex Colloft, Sanger, Calif.; and Mrs. Max Harvey, Cincinnati. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home where services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. by Rev. B. F. Hartman, pastor of the Cumberland Methodist Circuit.

William Henry Murray, 71, of 210 Main street, Ridgeley, W. Va., husband of Mrs. Clara M. Murray, died this morning at Allegany Hospital, where he had been a patient since December 3. He was employed at the Celanese plant and had lived in Ridgeley for thirty years. He was a member of the Methodist church. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary Hamilton, Ridgeley; Mrs. Ophelia Hendley, Cumberland; Mrs. Grace Coloff, Mt. Savage; and Mrs. Beatrice Harvey, Cincinnati, O.; one son, William T. Murray, Jr., of Ridgeley; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Stallings, Canton, O., and Mrs. Jessie Nichols, Massillon, O.; one brother, Frank Murray of Ridgeley; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Clara Matilda Murray, 68, of 210 Main Street, Ridgeley, died this morning at home after an illness of eight months. A native of Mt. Savage, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Porter) Schell. Her husband, William H. Murray, died December 11, 1942. Mrs. Murray was a member of Ridgeley Methodist church and of the Ladies' Bible Class and the Ladies' Aid Society of the church. She was also a member of Lodge No. 141, Dames of Malta. She resided in Ridgeley for the past 35 years. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Othalia Hendley, Cumberland; Mrs. Mary Hamilton, Mt. Savage; Mrs. Grace Colloff, Mt. Savage; William T. Murray, Short Gap, W. Va.; and Mrs. Beatrice Harvey, Cincinnati, O. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Katherine Martin, Youngstown, O.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. in Calvary Methodist Church, Ridgeley, W. Va., for Mrs. Clara Matilda Murray, 68, who died yesterday morning at her home, 210 Main street, Ridgeley.
