    CUMBERLAND - J. Catherine Johnson, 103, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab Center. Born March 7, 1914, in Cumberland, Catherine was the daughter of the late Azariah and Mary Elizabeth (Anderson) Humbertson. Catherine was the last surviving member of her immediate family; all of her siblings preceded her in death, Albert Humbertson, Ace Humbertson, Earl Humbertson, Raymond Humbertson, and LeVada Carney. She was also preceded in death by two nephews, Eddie Carney and Tommy Carney. Catherine graduated from Penn Avenue High School. She went on to be an extremely dedicated homemaker who was also a die-hard Baltimore Orioles fan. Playing Bingo and crocheting were some of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed visiting Central Assembly of God in Cumberland with her family on special occasions, especially during the Christmas programs and on Mother's Day. She was a cancer survivor for many years, a feat that was important to both Catherine and her family. Catherine is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and great-great-great-nieces. The family would like to thank the staff at the Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab Center, especially those special people who tirelessly took care of Catherine (they know who they are). Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday, March 5, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Doug Seaman officiating.     Azariah 'Ace' Humbertson 69, of 35 Race Street, husband of Mary E. (Anderson) Humbertson, died this morning at Sacred Heart Hospital. He had been in ill health for the past several years. Born in Ocean, he was the son of the late Howard and Amanda Burton) Humbertson. Mr. Humbertson was a retired Baltimore and Ohio Railroad conductor and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Lodge 440. Surviving, in addition to his widow, are four sons, Albert O. Humbertson, Parkersburg, W.Va., Ace H. and C. Earl, both of this city, and Raymond Humbertson, with the Marine Corps; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Johnson and Mrs. Levada Carney, both of here; a brother, William Humbertson also of Cumberland, and a sister, Mrs. Mary E.     Mrs. Mary E. Humbertson, 73, of 30 Cresap Drive, Bowling Green, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of three years. She was a native of Hyndman, a daughter of the late Albert O. and Sarah (Anderson) Robb, and was the widow of Ace Humbertson. She was a member of St. Matthew'-United Church of Christ in Bowling Green. She is survived by four sons, Albert O. Humbertson, Parkersburg, W, Va., Ace Humbertson, Bowling Green, C. Earl Humbertson, this city, and M-Sgt. Raymond E. Humbertson, with the Marine Corps at the local Reserve Center; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Johnson, Bowling Green, and Mrs. Levada Carney, city; a step-brother, Jessie H. Judy, city; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Rev.
