Joseph Henry Wolford, 85, formerly of 123 Columbia Street, died Friday in Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient in the Cumberland Nursing Home. Born March 25, 1900 in Eckhart, he was a son of the late Samuel Wolford and Mary (Rephann) Wolford. His wife, Cora (Shoemake) preceded him in death. Mr. Wolford was a retired coal miner. He is survived by three brothers, Melvin Wolford, Eckhart; Ray Wolford, city, and Arvel Wolford, Hagerstown; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Folk, city; Mrs. Helen Airhart, Baltimore; Miss Bertie Wolford, Frostburg, and Mrs. Virginia Yost, Eckhart. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home Sunday and Monday. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home by the Rev. Wayne Turner.
