    CUMBERLAND — Lotta Lee Loar, 88, of Cumberland died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at the Beverly Nursing Center in Cumberland. Born Nov. 22, 1918 in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Scott D. Folk and Mary Loretta (Jackson) Folk. She was also predeceased by her husband, Richard H. Loar Sr., and a grandson, David Loar. Ms. Loar was a member of the Park Place Methodist Church of LaVale. She retired from the Sacred Heart Hospital as a unit secretary. She is survived by a son, Richard H. Loar Jr. of Fairview, Tenn.; a daughter, Mary Ann Barb and husband Charles of LaVale; four grandchildren, Jason Loar and wife Allison of Orlando, Fla., Charles Barb and wife Mimi of Bedford, Pa., Gary Barb and Julie Barb; five great-grandchildren, Ava Loar, Derek Barb, Caden Barb, Brianna Barb and Stephanie Barb; one sister, Betty Locard of Cumberland; a brother-in-law, Clifton Loar; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Hafer Funeral Service, PA, Chapel of the Hills, 1302 National Hwy., LaVale, on Friday, Oct. 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Vicki Cubbage and Pastor Lowell Garland officiating. Interment will be in the Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Park Place Methodist Church, 80 National Hwy., LaVale, MD 21502 or LaVale Volunteer Fire Department, 421 National Hwy., LaVale, MD 21502.
