GORDONSVILLE, Va. — Homer D. Stott, 64, of Gordonsville, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996, at the Martha-Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville. Born Jan. 24, 1932, in Frostburg, Md., he was the son of the late Godfrey and Dorothy (McKenzie) Stott. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Godfrey Stott and Larry Stott; and a sister, Martha Ruth Cobb. Mr. Stott was retired from managing the Culligan Water Conditioning Ruckersville office. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany and Marshall Island. He was a member of Farrady Post 24 American Legion, Frostburg; VFW Post 1827, Charlottesville; DAV; Louisa Moose Lodge; and the Military Order of Cootie of the USA. Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Love) Thorpe Stott; two sons, James Stott and Charles Stott, both of North Carolina; a daughter, Sheryl Pittman, North Carolina; two stepsons, James Thorpe, Greensburg, Pa., and George Thorpe Jr., Nokesville; stepdaughter, Roberta Lewis, Sterling; a sister, Delores Cessna, Frostburg; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Hafer Frost Mansion Funeral Home. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 10 a.m. with Father Paul Byrnes officiating. FROSTBURG - Godfrey D. Stott, 62, of 206 McCulloh Street, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since February 11. Born in Frostburg, he was a son of the late John and Laura (Davis) Stott. Mr. Stott was a retired employe of the Western Maryland Railway and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Brotherhood of Railway Maintenance of Ways. Surviving are his widow, Dorothy (McKenzie) Stott; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Cobb and Mrs. Delores Cessna, both of Frostburg; a son, Homer Stott, Frostburg; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Paulos and Mrs. Mary Johnson, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, Watkin Stott, Fort Lauderdale; John Stott, Frederick; and six grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Requiem mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Church and interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery at Avilton. Louis McKenzie, 71 years old, of Avilton, Md., sister of Mrs. Rachel Miller of Connellsville, died at the Miners' Hospital at Frostburg, Md., following an operation. Frostburg, September 14 - Funeral services for Louis McKenzie, 71, of Avilton, Garrett Co., Maryland, who died at Miners' Hospital following an operation, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Avilton. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by seven children: John McKenzie and Mrs. Labe Persley, Akron, O.; Mrs. Thomas Ravenscroft and James McKenzie, Eastern Shore of Maryland; Mrs. Godfrey Scott and Edward and Leonard McKenzie, Frostburg.
