Joseph Lee Wolfe, 45, of Cumberland, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, to be with the Lord at his mother's home. Born June 3, 1971, in Cumberland, Joe was the son of Thomas Lee Wolfe, Gore, Va., and Deborah Ann Moore of Cumberland. Joe was a 1990 graduate of Allegany High School. He was a member of the 1988 and 1989 back-to-back state football championship teams. He was also a member of the school's track team. Besides his parents, he was survived by his wife, Christy Dawn Wolfe, who passed away one week later on Jan. 27, 2017. He is survived by his step-grandfather, Edwin Eckhart, Barton; two sons, Payton Raymond Joseph Wolfe and Brayden Zackary Wolfe, Florida; and two daughters, Josie Marie Wolfe and Charlize Dawn Wolfe of Cumberland. In addition, he is survived by four stepchildren, Danny, William, Jeffrey and Alivia, all of Cumberland. He is survived by two sisters, Loretta Robinette, Madison Heights, Virginia and Audrey Torres, Cumberland; along with numerous nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his foster father, Ray Short, LaVale. Joe was a good artist and loved drawing photos and tattoos. He enjoyed a good card game. He was Methodist by faith. Joe was employed in the construction and railroad industry. Joe was cremated. A family gathering in Joe's honor was held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017.
