    Francis "Dick" Raymond McKenzie, 90, of Finzel, passed away peacefully at UPMC Western Maryland Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020.
    Born Dec. 5, 1929, he was the son of the late John William "Satchel" McKenzie and Grace Virginia (Michael) Jeffries McKenzie. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Joshua Daniel McKenzie; great-granddaughter, Emmaline Anna Maria McKenzie; two brothers, John W. McKenzie Sr. and Eugene "Flooze" McKenzie; and two sisters, Hilda Giles and Wilma Femi. Francis came from a big family of 24 half-brothers and 11 half-sisters; he is the last of his siblings. Mr. McKenzie was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Michael Church. He retired from Clappers Industries. Dick was a very hard worker, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was his joy and life. Francis was a simple man not wanting for anything. He liked taking long walks. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, May Emmaline (Caton) McKenzie; three sons, Ronald McKenzie and wife, Vicki, Zilhman, Danny McKenzie and friend, Ruth, Pocahontas, Pa., Terry McKenzie and wife, Jamie, Finzel; one daughter, Debbie Arnold and husband, Doug, Frostburg; three grandsons, Ronald Jr. McKenzie and wife, Stacey, Frostburg, Christopher McKenzie and wife, Allison, Finzel, Corey Arnold, Frostburg; one granddaughter, Katie Broadwater, Grantsville; four great-grandsons, Noah, Jerad, and Chad McKenzie and Austin Broadwater; two great-granddaughters, Isabella McKenzie and Savana Broadwater. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Hazel McKenzie, Finzel. Friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted after the viewing at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Harpold officiating.

    Frostburg – July 9 – Mrs. Fannie A. McKenzie, widow of the late Jacob McKenzie, died Sunday evening at her home here. She was in her eighty-eighth year. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at St. Michael’s Church. Burial will be at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Avilton. Mrs. McKenzie leaves the following children: Mrs. Joseph Welsh, Mrs. Robert Minnick, Mrs. Joseph Minnick, John and Patrick McKenzie of this city, Richard McKenzie, Garrett County, Mrs. Oscar McKenzie, Grantsville.
