FROSTBURG - Charles W. Miller Sr., 73, of 116 Hill Street, died Monday in Frostburg Community Hospital, where he was admitted December 26. Mr. Miller was born here, a son of the late Wesley and Sally (Hansel) Miller. He was the retired custodian at Beall Elementary School and was a member and trustee of First Congregational Church. Survivors include his widow, Louise (Fisher) Miller; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Loar, here, and Mrs. Betty Winters, Vale Summit; one son, Charles W. Miller Jr., here; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Davis and Mrs. Ruth Fisher, both of here; Mrs. Ellen Gould, Georgia, ana Mrs. Elizabeth Patterson, Shaft; three brothers, John and Albert Miller, both of here, and Oscar Miller, Shaft; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p. m. today. A service will be conducted at 2 p. m. tomorrow in the funeral home by Rev. William E. Price. Pallbearers will be Samuel Myers, Guy Mallow, Clyde Deist, Earl Brain, Walter Mackey and Charles Williams, and interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Frostburg, July 8 - Wesley Miller, 73, retired farmer, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 126 Hill street. He had been in failing health for some time. Surviving children are Mrs. Helen Gauld (sic:Gould), Saco, Maine; Mrs. Elizabeth Patterson, Baltimore; Mrs. Howard Davies, Narrows, Va.; Mrs. Stella Rephann, Mrs. Ruth Fisher, Charles, John, and Albert Miller, this city, and Oscar Miller, at home. He was a brother of John Miller, Jennings, Md., and a half-brother of Mrs. Gilbert Green, Grantsville; Miss Laura Miller, Jennings, and Frank Miller, Frostburg. Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. His wife, the former Miss Sally Hansel, died six years ago, and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Beal, Eckhart, died June 26. Frostburg, Dec. 8 - Mrs. Sara Hansel Miller, 60, wife of Wesley W. Miller, 126 Hill street, died early yesterday afternoon, having been stricken by a heart attack the evening before. She was a member of the First M. E. Church. Besides her husband, she leaves the following children: Mrs. Helen Gould, Millineckel, Maine; Mrs. Earl Patterson, Cumberland; Mrs. Howard Davis, Mrs. Albert Fisher, Charles Miller, Frostburg; and Albert, John, and Oscar, at home. Frostburg, Dec. 9 - Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Hansel Miller, 60, wife of Wesley Miller, who died Tuesday, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the home, 126 Hill street. Rev. Edgar W. Beckett, pastor of the First M. E. Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Allegany Cemetery. Additional survivors include a brother, Morgan Hansel, LaVale; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Fleming, Indiana, and a daughter, Mrs. Edward Rephan, this city. The Cumberland Evening Times, December 9, 1937
