    October 01, 2008, Cumberland Times-News ~ CRESAPTOWN — Vivian E. Kamauf Walker, 91, of Cresaptown, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at Frostburg Village Nursing Center. Born Dec. 12, 1916, in Romney, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Isaac C. Parker and Ethel M. (Grant) Parker. She was also preceded in death by her first husband of 57 years, James Adam Kamauf and her second husband of eight years, George William Walker. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward James Kamauf and Gary Allen Kamauf; one granddaughter, Wendy Lee Yost; brother, Sam Parker; one sister, Virginia Krnaya. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker. She was a former employee of the Celanese Corporation. She was a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church. A pianist for 30 years, she was in a band called the Blue Notes Band. She was an avid duckpin bowler. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Evelyn White, Cumberland; sons, David Roy Kamauf and wife Elaine, Cresaptown, Kevin Lynn Kamauf and wife Sharon, Cresaptown; 14 grandchildren, Kelly Spicer and husband Jeff, Reynoldstown, Pa., Gary Kamauf and wife Rikki, LaVale, Candy Blocher and husband Brad, Hyndman, Pa., Cathy Jamison and husband Denny, Hyndman, Pa., James Kamauf and special friend Holly Shaffer, Hyndman, Pa., Deborah Mosier and husband Daryl, Cumberland, Donald Wade, Cleveland, Ohio, Linda Marean and husband William, Cumberland, Theresa Cage, Cumberland, Courtney Kam-auf, Cresaptown, Julie Brown and husband David, Chesterfield, Va., Jennifer Kuczynski and husband Kevin, Macomb, Mich., Jodi Kreider and husband Kevin, Elizabethtown, Pa., Janelle Kamauf, Richmond, Va.; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

    Isaac Clifford Parker, 86, of Fairgo, died yesterday at Lions Manor Nursing Home. He had been in failing health the past three years. A native of Romney, he was a son of the late Samuel B. and Mary (Biser) Parker. He was employed as caretaker at the Cumberland Fairgrounds for 36 years and was a member of the Brethren Church. Surviving and his widow, Ethel (Grant) Parker; a son, Samuel J. Parker, Fairgo; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Kamauf, Cresaptown; a sister, Mrs. Clara Cunningham, Keyser; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, LaVale, where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there Monday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Romney. The Cumberland News, July 8, 1972.

    Mrs. Carrie Virginia Grant, 88, native of Cresaptown, died today at Sacred Heart Hospital. She resided in Fairgo with a daughter, Mrs. Isaac Parker. Mrs. Grant was a daughter of the late John and Harriet (Sigler) Winters. She was a member of the Cresaptown Assembly of God Church. She is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Sanford Robinette, and Mrs. Chelsie Liller, both of Cresaptown, and Mrs. Lester Beck, Lebanon, Fa.; four sons, Leonard and Ray Grant, both of Lebanon, Pa.; Charles Grant, Cresaptown; and Marshall Grant, Brunswick; 40 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren. The body will remain at the Hafer Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p. m., with Rev. Ira Moore, pastor of the Cresaptown Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery.
