Cecil Wesley McKenzie, 72, Cresaptown, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted Monday morning. He was a son of the late Daniel Richard and Mary Jeanette (Hileman) McKenzie. A retired self-employed painter, he was a former Celanese Fibers Company employe. He was a member of Cresaptown United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class, and was a veteran of WW I. Surviving are his widow, Olive (Finley) McKenzie; four daughters, Mrs. Clifton J. Shears, Cresaptown; Mrs. William R. Yommer, Baltimore; Mrs. Gerald Nelson, here; and Mrs. James C. Nave, Grafton, Ohio; a brother, Guthrie M. McKenzie, and a sister, Mrs. Grace VanMeter, both of Cresaptown; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at the Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, National Highway, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Cresaptown United Methodist Church by Rev. CUMBERLAND - Mrs. Olive Florence McKenzie, 88, of 518 Avondale Avenue, formerly of Fir Tree Lane, Cresaptown, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989, at Lions Manor Nursing Home. Born June 11, 1901, in La Vale, she was the daughter of the late John and Harriet (Starkey) Finley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil W. McKenzie, in 1968 and by one brother and four sisters. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of Cresaptown United Methodist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Janet C. Nelson, with whom she resided; Mrs. Sylvia M. Shears, Cumberland; Mrs. Betty L. Yommer, Baltimore; and Mrs. Helen L. Nave, Grafton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Saturday at 9:30 a.m. by the Rev. Harold R. Daniel R. McKenzie, 85, died at 1 A.M. at his home in Cresaptown. He belonged to a pioneer family of Allegany County. Surviving are his widow, Mary J. McKenzie, two sons, Guthrie and Cecil, and a daughter, Mrs. Grace Van Meter. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 P.M. from the Methodist Episcopal Church, Cresaptown. Burial will be in Hillcrest. CRESAPTOWN — Mrs. Mary J. McKenzie, 91, died this morning at her home on Brant Road. She was a daughter of the late Donald and Margaret (Uphold) Hileman. Mrs. McKenzie was affiliated with the Cresaptown Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Millard D. (sic: G.) McKenzie, at home, and Cecil W. McKenzie, Cresaptown; a daughter, Mrs. J. French VanMeter; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The body will remain at Hafer Funeral Home, Cumberland, where services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Sunday. Rev. Raymond Crowe, pastor of Cresaptown Methodist Church, and Rev. W. W. Patterson will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
