M. Guthrie McKenzie, 85, formerly of Brant Road, Cresaptown, died Saturday in Nelle's Nursing Home, Inc., Elkins, W. Va. following an illness of six months.
Born in Cresaptown, he was a son of the late Richard D. and Mary (Hileman) McKenzie. A lifelong member of the Cresaptown Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Men's Bible Class of the church and was a veteran of World War I (Private in Army).
Preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary (Stottlemyer) McKenzie, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are a stepson, Gerald Cecil, Detroit, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Betty Williar, Baltimore. Also surviving are five nieces.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of The Hills, LaVale, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.

Daniel R. McKenzie, 85, died at 1 A.M. at his home in Cresaptown. He belonged to a pioneer family of Allegany County. Surviving are his widow, Mary J. McKenzie, two sons, Guthrie and Cecil, and a daughter, Mrs. Grace Van Meter. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 P.M. from the Methodist Episcopal Church, Cresaptown. Burial will be in Hillcrest. CRESAPTOWN — Mrs. Mary J. McKenzie, 91, died this morning at her home on Brant Road. She was a daughter of the late Donald and Margaret (Uphold) Hileman. Mrs. McKenzie was affiliated with the Cresaptown Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Millard D. (sic: G.) McKenzie, at home, and Cecil W. McKenzie, Cresaptown; a daughter, Mrs. J. French VanMeter; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The body will remain at Hafer Funeral Home, Cumberland, where services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Sunday. Rev. Raymond Crowe, pastor of Cresaptown Methodist Church, and Rev. W. W. Patterson will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.

In the name [of God] Amen, I Richard McKinsie testator of Allegany County and State [of] Maryland, being sick and weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, considering the certainty of Death, and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs, and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world, when it shall please God to call me hence, Do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, That is to say
First and principally I commit my soul to Almighty God, and my Body to the Earth, to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named, and after my debts and funeral expenses are paid I devise and bequeath as follows
Item 1. I give and bequeath to [my] beloved wife 1 Feather Bed Bedstead and Bedding to be selected by herself 1 cow, her own choice, 1 cupboard, 72[1/2??] doz chairs [??]
Item 2. I give and bequeath to my son David McKensie the farm under Dans Mountain on which he now resides, containing about sixty four acres more or less.
Item 3. I give and bequeath the farm on which I now reside to my two daughters, Ann Sophia McKensie Cipell and Ann Elizabeth McKensie Lancaster share and share alike.
Item 4. I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Elizabeth the two cows which she claims as her own.
And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son David McKinsie to be my Executor of this my last will and testament, revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and Testament
