WELLERSBURG — Augustus J. McKenzie, 74, Wellersburg, died yesterday morning in Sacred Heart Hospital, where he had been a patient for two days. He was a native of Sand Patch, a son of the late James and Rebecca (Bolden) McKenzie. A retired coal miner, he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mt. Savage. Surviving are his wife, the former Gladys Chisholm; 10 children, James McKenzie, Corriganville; Mrs. Susan Habersack, Cresaptown; Mrs. Mary Faith Kennel, Hyndman RD 1; Elwood McKenzie, Germantown, Md.; John T. McKenzie and Mrs. John Haines, Cumberland; Mrs. Shirley Diehl, Mt. Savage; Harry V. McKenzie, Harper's Ferry; Augustus J. McKenzie, Jr., Glencoe, Pa.; and Frederick J. McKenzie, Wellersburg. A brother, James McKenzie, Cleveland; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Zerbaugh, Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Blank, Mt. Savage, 46 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. The body is at the Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m., tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:30 p.m. A Requiem Mass wil be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Mt. Savage. Rev. John J. Mackey will officiate, and burial will be in Wellersburg Cemetery. The Cumberland News, December 30, 1967.

Born in Mount Savage, she was a daughter of the late John Knieriem and Emma (Norris) Knieriem, Mrs. Ricewick was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Daniel F. Ricewick Sr.; one son, Daniel F. Ricewick Jr., Barrelville; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia E. McKenzie, Wellersburg, Pa.; one brother, George Knieriem, Barrelville; three sisters, Mrs. Della Conrad, Barrelville; Miss Rosetta Knieriem, Oakland; Mrs. Mildred Garlick, Corriganville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
