FROSTBURG — Loretta Fisher, 84, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at WMHS Regional Medical Center. Born on Jan. 12, 1931, in Meyersdale, Pa., she was daughter of the late Harrison and Mary (Lichty) Yommer. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis L. “Sonny” Fisher; brothers, Wayne and Terry Schrock. Loretta was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God, Boynton, Pa. She also was the former owner and operator of Fisher’s Arco Station and Fox’s Pizza Den, Frostburg. She retired from Burger King in 2012 after working there for sixteen years. Prior to that, Loretta worked at two shirt factories, in Grantsville and Meyersdale and at S. Schwab & Co. of Cumberland. She loved everyone and enjoyed her Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. She also enjoyed family gatherings and shopping. Surviving are her sister, Viola Jean Yommer Richardson and husband Clarence; brothers, Charles Yommer and wife Patricia, Harrison “Hank” Yommer and wife Josie; grandchildren, Melinda Gordon and husband John, Brenda Green and husband John, Mark Schrock and David Schrock and wife Amy; seven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, MD 21532, on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Charles Conley officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations, in Loretta’s name be made to Durst Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses. Cumberland Times-News, November 15, 2015
