NORTHFIELD, OHIO - Jesse A. McKenzie, 70, of 83 Kennedy Blvd., Northfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at his residence. Born May 15, 1934 at Avilton, he was the son of the late Sebastian and Ethel (Garlitz) McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary "Jackie" Warner; and two brothers, Francis and Gerald McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a foreman for Great Lakes Construction Company for 32 years. He was a member of the Construction Union, Local 860 for 50 years and was of the Catholic faith. Mr. McKenzie is survived by his wife Irene D. (Petro) McKenzie; one son, Daryl McKenzie and wife Ramona, Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Paul McKenzie, Avilton; four sisters, Madeline Maust, Avilton, Betty O'Grince, Frostburg, Margaret Pallotta, Bedford and Jennie Vivian, Blacksburg, Va.; three grandchildren, Robert, Steven and Samantha McKenzie; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Alyssa McKenzie. Irene Delores McKenzie, 83, of Milton, DE, died Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Country Rest Home, Greenwood, DE. Born January 6, 1934, in Tarrs, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andre and Marie (Kovalsky) Petro. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse A. McKenzie, January 4, 2005; six brothers, John, Andy, Steve, Joseph, Nick and Mike Petro and three sisters, Mary Koza, Helen Steiner Grimm and Marjorie Ciacco. Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Frostburg - Sebastian W. McKenzie, 89, Star Route, died yesterday at his home. Born in Sand Patch, he was a son of the late Patrick and Rachel (Hutzel) McKenzie. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Avilton. Surviving are his widow, Ethel (Garlitz) McKenzie; three sons, Paul E., and Gerald N., McKenzie, Star Route, and Jesse A. McKenzie, Bedford, Ohio; five daughters, Mrs. James Maust, Avilton; Mrs. William Warner, Mrs. Norman Pollatto, Bedford, Ohio; Mrs. Frank O'Grince, Ravenna, Ohio; and Miss Jeanne McKenzie, Bedford, Ohio; a brother, Jesse McKenzie, Meyersdale, Pa.; two sisters, Miss Myrtle McKenzie and Mrs. Orpha Brown, Meyersdale; and six grandchildren. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home in Grantsville where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church.
