He died on 23 Dec 2000 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. EMORY F ROSENBERGER - FROSTBURG Emory Franklin Rosenberger, 76, of 18218 Borden Yard Road, Frostburg, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, in the Hospice Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born on April 18, 1924, in Finzel, he was the son of the late John and Grace (LaRue) Rosenberger. He was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Mr. Rosenberger was a truck driver, having retired from Blackburn Trucking Company, and operated several saw mills with his longtime friend, Sonny Logsdon. He was a Roman Catholic by faith, and a member of Teamsters Local #453. During World War II, he bravely served his country in both the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines. Surviving are his wife, Donna (Blank) Rosenberger, Frostburg, and her daughter, Denise Crowe, Vale Summit; two daughters, Cynthia Early and Peggy Nagle, both of Austin, Texas; one son, Kenny Rosenberger, Finzel; one brother, Arthur Rosenberger and wife Hilda, Finzel; four sisters, Clara McKenzie and husband Jamie, Finzel, Alberta Rosenberger, Frostburg Village Nursing Home, Evelyn Baker, St. Vincent dePaul Nursing Care Center, and husband Norman, and Edna Kimble, Meyersdale, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Jesse Rosenberger, Timothy Nagle and Nicholas Nagle. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Paul Byrnes officiating. Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at graveside by Farrady Post #24 American Legion Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Donald McKenzie, David Billips, Dennis Martin, Larry Martin, Wayne Stuby and Edward Logsdon. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Logsdon and Dr. Angel Roque. FROSTBURG — Mrs. Grace Rosenberger, 76, Finzel, died yesterday in Springfield State Hospital, Sykesville, where she was a patient 33 years. Born in Finzel, she was a daughter of Ihe late Dennis and Margaret (McKenzie) LaRue. Her husband, John Rosenberger, preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Anthony Drees, Mrs. James McKenzie, and Miss Alberta Rosenberger, all of Finzel; Mrs. George Often, Eckhart; Mrs. Norman Baker, Frostburg, and Mrs. James Kimble, Beaver Falls, Pa.; four sons, Thomas, Gurney, Emory and Arthur Rosenberger, all of Finzel; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Jenkins, Cumberland. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where the family will receive friends today from 7 to 9, p. m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 p. m and 7 to 9 p. m. The Cumberland Evening Times, November 5, 1962.

Frostburg, Md., Feb. 10 - Mrs. Hannah LaRue, 67, McCulloh street, died at her home at noon yesterday following a severe case or erysipelas. The funeral was conducted at St. Michael's Catholic Church this morning, with Rev. James Quinn, pastor, celebrating requiem mass. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
