He died on 15 Nov 2004 in Frederick, Frederick Co., Maryland. FREDERICK — Mr. David Elwood Arnold, 47, of 9308 Liberty Court, Frederick, died Monday, Nov. 15 at his home, after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 17, 1957, in Allegany County, the son of Glenn Elwood and Carolyn McKenzie Arnold of Frostburg. He was the husband of Brenda Lee Youngerman Arnold, his wife of 27 years. Mr. Arnold was a 1975 graduate of Beall High School, Frostburg. He was employed with Acker and Sons, Inc., Kensington, as a plumbing estimator for 27 years. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Libertytown. He loved Raiders football and NASCAR, his favorite drivers being Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents, are daughter, Trista Marie; and son, David “Buddy” Arnold, both at home; brothers, Doug Arnold and wife Debbie, Don Arnold and wife Terri, Dean Arnold and wife Stacy, all of Frostburg, Dwain Arnold and wife Tracey of Fairplay; father and mother-in-law, John H. and Leota Youngerman of Cumberland; two nieces; three nephews; and special aunts and uncles. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Sappington Hall. The Rev. John Dietzenbach, his Pastor, will be celebrant. Inurnment will be at a later date in Frostburg. The family will receive friends at the Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Libertytown, Friday, Nov. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Christian Wake service will be held at 8:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Scholarship Fund, c/o Wilbert Clark, 5241 Buffalo Road, Mount Airy, MD 21771.

FINZEL — Carolyn Lorraine Arnold, 78, passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 26, 1942, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel L. and Helen (Clark) McKenzie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by stepfather, Marshall H. Caton; son, Dave Arnold; and stepbrother, Larry McKenzie. Carolyn was a homemaker and had previously worked at Delores Truly's Candy. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish St. Michael's Catholic Church and loved making flower arrangements and painting ceramics. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Glenn Arnold; sons, Doug Arnold and wife, Deborah, Frostburg, and their son, Corey, Don Arnold and wife, Terri, Finzel, and their children, Dustin and Samantha, Dean Arnold and wife, Stacy, Finzel, and their children, Danielle and Zachary, and Dwain Arnold and Tracey McKenzie-Arnold, Clear Spring, and their children, Derek and Danica; daughterin- law, Brenda and children, Trista and David Jr 'Buddy', Frederick; three great-grandchildren; and stepsister, Lana McKenzie. AVILTON - Lemuel L. McKenzie, 73, Miami, Fla., formerly of Avilton, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1991, in Miami. He was the son of the late Harry and Ida McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Clark) McKenzie; and a brother, Leonard McKenzie. Survivors include his wife, Eloise McKenzie; one son, Larry McKenzie, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Carolyn Arnold, Finzel, and Lanna Johnson, Miami; two brothers, Clinton McKenzie, Grantsville, and Gordon McKenzie, La Vale; one sister, Kathryn O’Rourke, Suffolk, Va.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. FROSTBURG — Mrs. Helen M. Caton, 37, wife of Marshall Caton, died this morning at their home on Finzel Road following an illness of a year. She was a daughter of Mrs. Anna (Burdock) Clark, Finzel Road, and the late James Clark. Mrs. Caton was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pocahontas, Pa. Surviving, besides her husband and mother, are a daughter, Mrs. Glenn Arnold, of U.S. Route 40; two stepsons, Marshall L. Caton, Frostburg, and John A. Caton, with the Air Force at East Orange, N. J.; three brothers, James Clark, Frostburg and Allen and Paul Clark, both of Finzel; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Folk, Mrs. Russell Opel, Mrs. Clarence Housel and Mrs. Glenn Blank, all of Frostburg, three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
