    WELLERSBURG, Pa. — Daniel Adam Muir, 46, of Wellersburg, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at his home. Born Dec. 3, 1963, in Cumberland, he was the son of Jim and Elaine Muir of Lonaconing, Md. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Muir and Joseph and Kathryn O'Rourke; and a special uncle, Bob “Fish” Muir. He was of the Catholic faith and a former employee of Rental Uniform, Cumberland, Md. He loved to hunt and fish. Besides his parents, Dan is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; and stepdaughters, Amy Leydig and husband Calvin, Hyndman, Shelly Dawson, Hyndman, Debbie Balog and husband Michael, Irwin; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jim Muir and wife Sherry, Virginia Beach, Va., Maureen Dye and husband Butch, Lonaconing, Ed Muir and wife Robin, Bowie, Md., Mary Ellen Turner, Lonaconing, Kathy Foor and husband Thomas, Bedford, and Joe Muir and wife Janine, Hurlock, Md. He leaves behind 13 nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nep-hews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Dan loved his family so much and he also loved his many pets, Shadow, Ginger, Kimba, Sasha and Keicia. He will be sadly missed by his great big family. Family and friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Thursday, June 3, 2010, from 9 to 11 a.m. A private memorial service will follow and be held by Deacon Willard F. Passauer II and inurnment will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Arrangements are being handled by Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., www.eichhornmckenzie.com, Lonaconing.     SUFFOLK Va. — Regina Kathryn O'Rourke, 87, of 126 Pitchkettle Point Circle, Suffolk, passed on to eternal life on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at the Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Va. Born Nov. 11, 1912, in Lord Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry McKenzie and Ida (Wilhelm) McKenzie. She also was preceded in death by her husband Joseph I. O'Rourke. Surviving are two daughters, Elaine Muir and husband Jim, Lonaconing, Md., and Tillie Rivenbark and husband David, Suffolk; two brothers, Gordon McKenzie and wife Betty, Frostburg, Md., and Clinton McKenzie and wife Mary, Grantsville, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Kathryn was a member of St. Mary’s of the Presentation for the past nine years, and the Sodality of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lonaconing. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her devout faith, love of nature, and gentle spirit. She has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. The family will receive visitors at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing. A Christian Wake Service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. with Sister Marietta Culhane, OSF Pastorial Life Director of St. Mary’s Church, officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Mary’s of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Lonaconing, on Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at 9:30 a.m. with Father Paul Byrnes as celebrant.     He was buried in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery, Avilton, Garrett Co., Maryland. He. Mr. and Mrs. Harry McKenzie celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in November at their home in Grantsville. The former Miss Ida Wilhelm, daughter of the late Olen and Kathryn (Garlitz) Wilhelm, became the bride of Mr. McKenzie, son of the late Charles and Lydia (Wiland) McKenzie, November 23, 1910. The ceremony was performed in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Avilton, Md., by the late Rev. Father Aloysius. They are the parents of five children: Mrs. Kathryn O'Rourke, Lonaconing; the late Leonard McKenzie, Grantsville; Lemuel McKenzie, Miami, Fla.; Clinton J.McKenzie, Grantsville; and Gordon McKenzie, Baltimore. They also have 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. McKenzie is a retired employe of Bender and Son, Stanton's Mill, and has cared for his invalid wife for the past five years.
