He died on 30 Sep 1962 in Hagerstown, Washington Co., Maryland. MT. Savage — Edgar F. Lancaster, 65, of Calla Hill, who was an employe of the Mt.-Savage Refractories, died yesterday morning in Western Maryland Hospital, Hagerstown, where he had been admitted on September 21. He had been in failing health for about four months. A native of Mt. Savage, he was a son of the late George and Susan (McKenzie) Lancaster. Besides his widow, Mrs. Edith (Moran) Lancaster, he is survived by a son, Thomas Lancaster, Cumberland, and two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Folk and Mrs. Rosemary Mathews, both of Cumberland; six brothers, James, Gilbert, Raymond and William Lancaster, all of Mt. Savage, John and Gerald Lancaster, both of LaVale; four sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Dickey, Meyersdaie, Pa., Miss Hilda Lancaster, Mt. Savage; Mrs. Mary Crites, LaVale; Mrs. Margaret Wagner, Bowling Green, and seven grandchildren. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Mt. Savage and the Holy Name Society of the parish. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home in Frostburg, where friends wrll be received from 7 to 9 p. m. today and from 2 to| 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. tomorrow. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9 a. m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church by Rev. Michael Smyth, pastor. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Dickey, Meyersdale, Pa.; Mrs. William Crites, Mrs. Harold Wagner, this city; Miss Hilda Lancaster, at home; Mrs. Alice Lancaster, Baltimore and one sister, Mrs. J.J. Brennan, Fayette, City, Pa. Found this one last night. Not sure what to make of the stated age at time of death, as his tombstone has 1829

The remains of Mr. Ambrose McKenzie, whose death occurred at his residence on Monday evening in Garrett county, several miles west of this city, after an illness of about two weeks, were brought to this place yesterday morning at nine o'clock for burial. The funeral took place from St. Michael's Catholic Church. Father Stephen J. Clark, assisted by Rev. Jos. Nolan, conducted the services. Interment was made in St. Michael's cemetery. The deceased was one of the most prominent men in Garrett county and was well known here. He was seventy years old at the time of his death, and is survived by his wife and a number of children, all of Garrett county. A large concourse of people attended the funeral.
