- Wilford Warne, 79, of Frostburg Star Route, died Jan. 4, 1975, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born in Avilton, Md., he was a son of the late Daniel and Margaret (Humbertson) Warne. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and Grantsville Post 214, American Legion. Surviving are his wife, the former Lula Durst; and a brother, Stanley Warne of Frostburg. Funeral service was conducted Tuesday afternoon in Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Paul Lovejoy officiating. Meyersdale Republic, January 9, 1975.
