ELLERSLIE - Phyllis M. Cook, 82, of Temple Street, Ellerslie, died on Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at her residence. Born on March 3, 1922, in Ellerslie, she was a daughter of the late Henry E. and Emma J. (DeVore) Lowery. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald, a brother, and four sisters. Surviving are Albert E. Cook, her husband of 66 years; sons, James F. and wife Lucile (Post), Short Gap, W.Va., Gary M. and wife Doris (Blubaugh), Ellerslie, Gerald L. "Jerry" and special friend Kathy (Webb), Cresaptown; daughter, Vivian M. Jamison and husband Richard, Ellerslie; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cook was a homemaker. A former member of the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, her favorite leisure past time was playing Bingo. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Sunday from 1:30 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Ken L. Korns officiating. Interment will be in Porter Cemetery, Hyndman.

Phyllis married Albert Elsworth Cook on 19 Aug 1938. Albert died in UNKNOWN. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
