Daniel Raymond Burley, 68, of 817 Mann’s Terrace, died Friday at Memorial Hospital. Born July 6, 1918, in Cooks Mills, Pa., he was the son of the late William Nelson Burley and Orpha (Madden) Burley. Mr. Burley was a retired employee of Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, with 29 years service in the mill room. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marguerite (Chaney) Burley; three sons, Donald A. Burley, Panama City, Fla.; Daniel R. Burley Jr., Kannapolis, N.C.; Gregory A. Burley, here; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra D. Hobell, Flint-stone; three brothers, George Burley, Stringtown; Clyde Burley, Corriganville; Kenneth Burley, Ellerslie; three sisters, Mrs. Edna McCray, Mount Savage; Mrs. Dorothy Pirkey, here; Miss Charlotte Burley, Stringtown, and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home Sunday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Loyal Kelso. Interment will be in Cooks Mills Cemetery.

CUMBERLAND — Sandra Diane Wilhelm, 66, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Born July 31, 1948, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Raymond Burley and Marguerite Elizabeth (Chaney) Burley. She was also preceded in death by a son, Brian Hobell and an infant brother. Mrs. Wilhelm is survived by her son, Shawn Hobell; two brothers, Greg Burley and Daniel Burley; five grandchildren, Austin Wilhelm, Tristin Hobell, Kyrstin Hobell, Brianna Hobell, and Bethany Hobell; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. CUMBERLAND — Marguerite E. Burley, 79, formerly of Manns Terrace, Cumberland, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at The Lions Center. Born Aug. 14, 1927, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Mary Ellen (Malone) Chaney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Burley Sr.; a son, Terry A. Burley; and two brothers, John Chaney and Donald Burley. Mrs. Burley was retired from Memorial Hospital, where she had worked in Central Supply. She had been raised in the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Daniel R. Burley Jr. and Gregory A. Burley; one daughter, Sandra D. Burley, one sister, Juanita See; three half-sisters, Mary Stanfield, Shirley Moffett and Sandra K. Parker; three grandchildren, Shawn Hobell, Brian Hobell and Tamra Burley; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, PA,, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at l p.m. with the Rev. Glenn Cappachione officiating. Interment will be in Cooks Mills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.

Shawn Robert Hobell, 48, of Frostburg, MD, died suddenly on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at his residence. Born August 14, 1967, at Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Robert & Sandra (Burley) Hobell. He was preceded in death by one brother, Brian Hobell. Mr. Hobell was a roofer for Hite Roofing Company. He was a member of Laborers Union Local #34. He is survived by two sons, Austin Wilhelm, Tristin Hobell; one daughter, Kyrstin Hobell, all of Avilton, MD; two grandchildren, Skylar Wilhelm & Hailie Wilhelm. Services are private.
