    CORRIGANVILLE - Clyde A. Burley, 74, of Corriganville, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1991, at Memorial Hospital in Cumberland due to injuries he received Nov. 21, 1991, while serving as a fire policeman for the Corriganville Volunteer Fire Company. Born March 18, 1917, in Stringtown, Pa., he was the son of the late William N. and O. Blanche (Madden) Burley. One son, Clyde “Pee Wee” Burley, preceded him in death in 1984. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death. Mr. Burley was a retired former employee of the Celanese Corporation, the Mount Savage Bus Line and the Earl Clites Roofing Company. He served with the Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a Methodist by faith and was an active lifetime member and fire policeman for the Corriganville Volunteer Fire Company. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte “Lottie” (Stuckey) Burley; two sons, Richard Burley, Corriganville; and Clarence Stuckey, Harrisburg, Pa.; two brothers, George Burley, RD 1, Hyndman, Pa.; and Kenneth Burley, Ellerslie; one sister, Charlotte E. Burley, RD 1, Hyndman; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home in Hyndman. A fireman’s memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 8 p.m. by the Allegany-Garrett County Volunteer Fireman’s Association and the Corriganville Volunteer Fire Company. Services will be held there Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph R. Stains. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Members of the Corriganville Volunteer Fire Company will serve as pallbearers.

    Clyde Eugene 'Pee Wee' Burley, 40, of Rawlings, Maryland, died Wednesday, August 15, 1984, as a result of the Hyndman Flood. He was born in Londonderry Township, Bedford County, May 18, 1944, a son of Clyde Albert and Charlotte M. (Stuckey) Burley. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Dainese (Harman) Burley, two sons, Larry Raymond Van Meter and Donnie J. Burley, both at home; and by four daughters, Dainese E. Van Meter, Linda Lorraine Van Meter, Daina Renee Van Meter, and Shellie Marie Burley, all at home. Two brothers, Richard Burley, of Corriganville, Md., and Clarence Stuckey, of Harrisburg, also survive. Mr. Burley had lived in Rawlings, Maryland for two years prior to which time he lived in Corriganville, Md. He was employed as a truck driver for S&G Trucking, a member of Grace Baptist Missions in Rawlings, Md., member of Corriganville Volunteer Fire Company, and was a graduate of Ryder Truck Driving School in Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services: Saturday August 18, at 2 p.m. in the Corriganville United Church of Christ, with Rev. Thomas Kaufman officiating. Burial in Restlawn Memorial Garden. Friends will be received at the Corriganville United Church of Christ on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Firemen's Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday evening in the church.
