HYNDMAN, Pa. - Floyd N. Burley, 72, of Ellerslie, died Saturday at Cumberland Memorial Hospital. Born in Stringtown, Pa. Aug. 4, 1911, he was a son of the late William N. Burley and Blanche (Madden) Burley. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister and a stepson. He worked as a mechanic for the Amcelle Plant of Celanese, and was retired for 17 years. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Independent Baptist Church, Ellerslie. He is survived by his widow, Clara E. (Shroyer) Burley; one stepson, Junior Grenke, Chambersburg, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mamie Ellen Brick, RD, Hyndman; four brothers, George Burley, Hyndman; Clyde Burley, Corriganville; Raymond Burley, Cumberland, and Kenneth Burley, Ellerslie; three sisters, Mrs. Edna McCray, Mount Savage, Mrs. Dorothy Perkey, Cumberland, and Miss Charlotte Burley, Hyndman, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harvey H. Ziegler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ken L. Korns officiating. Interment will be in Lybarger Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
