He was a son of the late John and Barbara DeVore and a member of the Evangelical Church. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Lillian DeVore, Cumberland; five brothers, David, John, Charles, and William, all of Ellerslie, and Jesse DeVore, Cumberland.
