"DON HAYES DIES AGE 70"

"Don Hayes, 70, of rural Mansfield died at 10:00 p.m. Friday, November 26, 1971 at Carle Foundation Hospital."

"Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Mackey Funeral Home, Monticello with Rev. Danill Sullivan of Mansfield officiating with burial in the Monticello Cemetery."

"Mr. Hayes was born December 15, 1900 at Galesville, a son of Patrick H. and Verda Trotter Hayes. He married Ruth Hosler, January 12, 1921, she survives. Also surviving are a son Donald D., Rural Mansfield; a daughter Mrs. Betty Whisman, LeRoy; and several nieces and nephews, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Esther Karnes and Mrs. Myrtle Okey both of rural Mansfield. Mr. Hayes was a member of the Galesville Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mansfield School Board for several years."

"He was preceded in death by his father and mother and a sister Stella."

"Donald D. "Bud" Hayes, 70, of Urbana, died at 9:05 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 1992, at his home."

"Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello, with Rev. Leah Pogemiller officiating."

"Mr. Hayes was born Nov. 16, 1921, at Galesville, a son of Don H. and Ruth Hosler Hayes."

"Survivors include a son, Patrick Hayes of Mansfield; three daughters, Gail Hayes Griffiths of Danville, Calif., Bridget Corray of Broadlands and Anita Hayes of Los Angeles; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a sister, Betty Whisman of Bloomington."

"Mr. Hayes was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Bloomington Masonic Lodge and the Bloomington Consistory."

"Memorial contributions may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home or the American Heart Association."
