"She was married to Levi Nance. He preceded her in death. She was later married to Edward Childers, who survives."

"Mrs. Childers also leaves sons Willard Nance of Peoria and Jesse and Ray Nance, both of Murphysboro; daughters, Mrs. Mack Allison of Alto Pass and Mrs. Lawrence Williams of Carterville; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Rachel Little of Mt. Pulaski."

MRS. CHAS. GRUBAUGH DIES AT THE FAMILY HOME

"Mrs. Mary Grubaugh, 65, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 at the family home at 114 East Randolph street, Vandalia. She was born July 16, 1886 in Loudon township, the daughter of the late Daniel Logue and Stacey McKenzie Logue, and had been a lifelong resident of Fayette county, the past 25 or more years a resident of Vandalia."

"She and Charles Grubaugh were married in 1903. He survives as do also eight children: Mrs. Esta Kline of Altamont; Willie of St. Elmo, and the following all of whom reside in Vandalia: Mrs. Ruth Grubaugh, Lewis, Mrs. Olive Ober, Ray, Marshall and Mrs. Betties Smail. One child is deceased. There are several grandchildren and many other relatives."

"Services will be conducted tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. in the Free Methodist church by the pastor, Rev. John Rupert. Burial will be made in South Hill cemetery. Miller Funeral service {is} in charge."

"The Rev. Willard L. Nance, 67, of Hillsboro, a former Peoria minister, died at 4:35 a.m. Monday in Hillsboro."

"He was former minister of the Independent Assembly of God Church in Peoria, but had been medically disabled since 1955."

"Born April 21, 1904 at St. Elmo, the son of Levi and Nancy McKenzie Nance, he was first married to Gussie Dallas at Murphysboro in October of 1922. She died Sept. 5, 1962."

"He then married Esther M. Clark June 7, 1964, in Greenville, and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Gordon and Lawrence Nance, both of East Peoria; Samuel Nance of Eureka; one daughter, Mrs. Lester (Ruth) Pugh of Chillicothe; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren."

"Marshall A. Grubaugh, 75, of Centralia, died at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at St. Mary's Hospital, Centralia."

"Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Irvin Funeral Home Chapel, Centralia, with the Rev. James Gullen and the Rev. Perry Schefelker officiating. Visitation was to be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with military rites accorded by the VFW Post #2055 and American Legion Post #446. Memorials: Centralia American Legion and Alzheimers Support Group at Centralia Manor."

"Mr. Grubaugh was born on Nov. 3, 1922, in Fayette County, Illinois, the son of Charles Grubaugh and Mary Logue Grubaugh. He had resided in the Centralia area since 1962 and was a veterans employment representative at Illinois Department of Employment Security for more than 30 years. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of the Centralia American Legion Post #446, Centralia VFW Post #2055 and Trinity Lutheran Church. He married Lucille Meseke on May 28, 1950 in Augsburg. She died in November 1991."

"He is survived by daughter, Beth Mischke and husband Chuck of Richview; brother, Ray Grugaugh of Vandalia; sisters, Olive Ober of Vandalia and Betty Smail of Greenville; brother-in-law, Norman Ober of Vandalia; sisters-in-law, Agnes Grubaugh of Vandalia, Mildred Grubaugh of St. Elmo and Cordelia Meseke of Shobonier; and several nieces and nephews."
