- Sunday, November 30, 1997 - Cumberland Sunday Times - FROSTBURG - Betty A. Caton, 88, formerly of the Frostburg Heights Apartments, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born Jan. 6, 1909, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Tirzah (Biddington) Timmons. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall H. Caton; two brothers; and two sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Caton attended the Frostburg Church of the Brethren. She was a self-employed seamstress and tailor in Baltimore for many years. Surviving are three sons, William H. Timmons and wife Connie, Gainesville, Va., John A. Caton and wife Minnie, Endwell, N.Y., and Marshall L. Caton and wife Lisa, Frostburg; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Riner; five grandchildren, Marsha, Larry, Tammy, Jamie, and Michael; and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. T. William Preston and the Rev. Rick Riley officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
She was buried on 3 Dec 1997 in Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland.
