- Carol E. Lucas, 71, of Frostburg, went home to be with Lord on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, after a long and hard-fought battle with Dementia. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Integrace Copper Ridge in Sykesville. Carol was born Jan. 27, 1945, in Meyersdale, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Willard & Edna L. (Clark) Broadwater of Salisbury, Pa. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Thomas L. Lucas. She is also survived by her children, Melissa A. (Lucas) Bosley and husband, Thomas G. Bosley of Avilton, and Michelle L. Lucas of Lonaconing, and two grandchildren that were very special to her, Austin L. Bosley and Aaron T. Bosley. In addition, she is survived by a sister, Patricia A. Keister of Jacksonville, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol spent nearly 30 years caring for the needs of others as a professional caregiver. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. The family would like to give a special thank you to the amazing staff at Integrace Copper Ridge for the wonderful care and compassion provided to Carol and the family during her lengthy illness. Visitation will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, from 4 to 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 6 p.m. with Pastor Dan Agnew officiating.
