- CUMBERLAND — Claude L. "Dusty" Durst, 82, of Cumberland, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at Frostburg Village. Born Jan. 10, 1935, in Gnegy Church, he was the son of the late Vernon E. Durst and Leona E. (Fulk) Durst. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy; his daughter, Claudia Riley and husband, Chuck, Fort Ashby; his son, Wyatt Durst, Cumberland; one granddaughter, Dawn Ackerman and husband, Shane Stumbaugh, Fort Ashby; great-grandchildren, Austin Cook and wife, Kyleigh, Fort Ashby, Felicia Seeders, Short Gap, Samantha Seeders, Cumberland, Kyle Seeders, Short Gap, Blake Fairman, Cumberland, and Taryn Ackerman, Short Gap; three great-great-grandchildren, Makinley Seeders, Fort Ashby, Taylyn Metzner, Cumberland, and Oaklynn Cook, Fort Ashby; and one brother, David Durst and wife, Sydna, Cumberland. Dusty had worked at P.P.G. Industries. He, along with his wife, Peggy, owned and operated Cycle City for 26 years. Dusty then worked for the Cumberland Times-News delivering newspapers. He was a life-time member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club. Dusty enjoyed motorcycles, antique cars, and NASCAR races. A celebration of his life will be held at the Cumberland Outdoor Club on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
