A native of Frostburg, he was a son of the late John W. and Mary Ella Winner Keating. Surviving are his widow, Elizabeth Pope Keating, formerly of Garrett County; five sons, John Keating, with the Air Force; Dennis, Terrance, Joseph and Michael Keating, all of Baltimore; five daughters, Sister Mary Patricia, Washingon; Sister Joan, Emmitsburg; Mrs. Kathryn Serrio, Mrs. Sarah Ann Byrnes and Mrs. Mary Lynn Cooper, all of Baltimore; five brothers, Charles, Thomas P., Leo F., and Joseph Keating, here, and James Keating, Beans Cove, Pa.; five sisters, Mrs. Delores Wolfe, Mrs. Agnes Knepper, Chambersburg, Pa.; Ms. Ursala Reburn, Olney; Mrs. Julia Clites, Baltimore; Mrs. Mary Amann, LaVale; and 11 grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Baltimore, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery there.
