  Notes	FROSTBURG - Mrs. Hazel Virginia Layman, 55, of 172 Mt. Pleasant Street, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital, where she had been admitted April 13. A native of Thomas. W. Va., she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Crowe) Griffiths. She was a retired Celanese Fibers Company employe, a member of TWUA Local 1874 and of Frostburg United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Evan Layman; a son, Thomas Knotts, Bowling Green, Cumberland; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sally Ann Vann, Waldorf; a stepson, Larry Van Layman, Pokomoke City; a brother, John Griffiths, Cumberland; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Durr, Mrs. Gladys Stanton, here, and six grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Clarence A. Kaylor officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The Cumberland News, May 6, 1975
