Neat Post 5280 V.F.W., Lonaconing; a former member of the disbanded Midland American Legion; and a former member of the Roland Terrace Democratic Club, Brooklyn Park. He was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are three sons, Robert F. LOAR Jr., Finzel, John W. LOAR, Cumberland, and Richard A. LOAR, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Mary Jane BAUBLITZ, Frostburg, Debra E. LOWERY, Oriental, NC and Erma J. PUGH, Channelview, Texas; four brothers, James B. LOAR and John LOAR, both of Glen Burnie, Don LOAR, Pasadena, and Gene LOAR, Baltimore; four sisters, Iona FOOR, Rockville, Norma BURKE, Baltimore, Madeline KALANVICH, Indiana, PA, and Elaine MIRES, Clymer, PA; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, with the Rev. William G. Boyer officiating. Interment was in Frostburg Memorial Park. [Garrett Co. GenWeb; no date, no newspaper name]
