- AVILTON - Hubert J. Crowe, 39, of here, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital, after an illness of several years. Born at New Germany, he was son of Mrs. Melva (Broadwater) Crowe, Frostburg, and the late Samuel W. Crowe. Mr. Crowe was employed by the B&O Railroad and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles at Connellsville, Pa. Also surviving are a daughter, Connie F. Crowe, Bowling Green; three sisters, Mrs. Diona Broadwater and Mrs. Arlene Morris, both of here; and Mrs. Helen Broadwater, Salisbury, Pa., and two brothers, Milton Crowe, Cumberland, and Owen Crowe, LaVale. The body, is at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p. m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Daigle officiating. Interment will be in New Germany Cemetery. The Cumberland Evening Times, April 3, 1972
