- Frostburg - Herman J. Crowe, 65, Hope road, here, died Monday at Frostburg Community Hospital. Born in Midlothian, he was a son of the late Jacob and Evaline (Steavie) Crowe. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ammis Cole, Syracuse, N.Y., and Mrs. Gladys Largent, Texas; and a brother, Walter Crowe, Midlothian. Services were conducted today at 1 p.m. at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home by Rev. George L. Wehler. Interment was in the Eckhart Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lee Harris, Arthur Harris, Jerry Wagner, Joseph Steele, Elmer Steele and James Crowe. The Cumberland Evening Times, January 3, 1974
