- Jacob C. Crowe, 81, died Monday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Hume, Pittsburgh. Mr. Crowe, who until recently, was a resident ot Frostburg and Borden Shaft, was born in Oarrett county March 15, 1859. He was the husband of the late Sarah Etta Wilson and Evelyn Stevey Crowe, both preceding him in death. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rose Durst, born to his first wife; and by the second wife, besides Mrs. Hume, there, are two other daughters, Mrs. Sherman Umstot and Mrs. Alek Main, both of Borden Shaft; two sons, Herman and Walter Crowe, both of Frostburg; and the following sisters, Mrs. Mollie Hawkins, Ohio; Mrs. Lou Layman, Mrs. Collins DeVore, Mrs. Rose Nelson, all of Frostburg; Mrs. Nancy Weimer, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchlldren.
