  Notes	LAVALE — On this day, Sunday, Dec. 13, 2008, Carolyn Zella Frankenberry, our beloved daughter, sister and wonderful aunt passed from our lives at the WMHS-Braddock Campus after a courageous battle with cancer. Carolyn is the daughter of Ray E. and Marian M. Frankenberry; the sister of Connie Frankenberry Brode and husband Frank, and sister of Sherry S. Burkey and husband Richard; wonderful aunt of Gene R. Furlow and wife Missy, Jenny Cessna and Kelly L. Burkey; a great-nephew, Coleton Ray Furlow; and special friend, William “Billy” Ryan, of Springfield, W.Va. Carolyn worked for Clopper Oil Co., Gulf Oil Distributor from 1963 thru the retirement of Mrs. Poly Clopper Ewald of Boonsboro. She was also employed with Furlow’s International and ACS in Frostburg before becoming sick. In lieu of flowers, Carolyn asked that donations be made to LaVale Volunteer Rescue Squad, Susan G. Komen Foundation, or a charity or organization of your choice. If monetary donations are not possible, consider donation your time to an organization, charity or to the WMHS Cancer Center, to make a difference in someone’s life like Carolyn made a difference in her family and friends lives. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, (www.scar-pellifh.com) on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 8 p.m. with the Rev. George Harpold officiating. At Carolyn’s request, her remains will be cremated.
