- MEYERSDALE, Pa. — Harry George Shuck Jr., 55, of Meyersdale, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at In Touch Hospice House, Somerset, Pa. Born Sept. 16, 1958 in Meyersdale, he is the son of Frances (Durst) Shuck, Berlin, Pa. and the late Harry G. Shuck Sr. Mr. Shuck was preceded in death by one son, Joshua L. Shuck; and one brother, Paul G. Shuck. Mr. Shuck was a past member of ABATE and participated in Somerset Alliance Church Blessing of the Bikes. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carol M. (Garlitz) Shuck; one son, Jason P. Shuck, Elk Garden, W.Va.; one daughter, Jessica M. Shuck, Ridgeley, W.Va.; one brother, Carl Shuck, Meyersdale; two sisters, Patty Bittner, Meyersdale and Georgia Phillips, Winston-Salem, N.C.; and a special friend, Jane. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, Pa., on Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Doug Hartman officiating.
