- Kathleen E. Hart, 89, of Hyndman died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at Allegany Nursing and Rehab Center, Cumberland. Born July 25, 1928, in Ellerslie, she was a daughter of the late Virgil and Nellie (Hosselrode) Lowery. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Hart, Hagerstown; and brother, Clyde Lowery. She is survived by a son, Sidney Emerick and wife, Sharon, of Hyndman; grandson, Todd Emerick and wife, Wendy, of New Smyrna, Fla.; sister, Sandra Mallery and husband, John, of Hyndman; sister-in-law, Mary Lowery of Westland, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked at Super Shoes, Potomac Motors, PennMar Motors, and WT Grant Department Store. She was a member of Cooks Mill United Methodist Church and the Hagerstown United Methodist Church where she would read to children at the after-school program. She touched so many lives with her love, compassion and generosity. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
