  Notes	ECKHART Mary Amanda (Hansel) Fatkin Martens, 91, of 100 Honeysuckle Lane, formerly of Parkersburg Road, Eckhart, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 30, 2002, at her residence. Mary was born in Garrett County on July 29, 1910, a daughter of the late David and Jane (Clark) Hansel. She was preceded in death by brothers Elmer, Howard, Harry, Edgar and Irvin and sisters, Evelyn and Flora (Hansel) Logsdon. She was the last surviving member of her family. Married twice, Mary was preceded in death by Lester Fatkin and G. Franklin Martens. She is survived by two sons, Jack Fatkin and Eileen of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Thomas Fatkin and Glenda of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by two stepdaughters, Lorraine Robeson and Joseph of Hagerstown, and Leannah Williams and James of Frostburg. Mary had four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A speical brother-in-law, Carl E. Martens and wife Nancy, also survive. Since December, Mary enjoyed the company of six special care givers, Kathy Taylor, Debbie Negley, Corinne Pappas, Diane Layman, Patricia Seib and Wanda Thomas. Mary was a 1928 graduate of Beall High School and was a very faithful member of the Liberty Christian Fellowship, Route 220, Cresaptown. She cherished the plaque honoring her long years of service as Sunday School secretary of her church. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, April 4, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Gordon officiating. Interment will be in the Vale Summit Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made in Marys name to the Liberty Christian Fellowship, P.O. Box 5522, Cresaptown, MD 21505.
