- Mrs. Florence (Lowery) Emerick, 214 Decatur St., Cumberland, died suddenly April 18, 1969. She was born June 21, 1919, in Ellerslie, Md., the daughter of Henry and Emma (Devore) Lowery, who live in Ellerslie. She was married to Vernon R. Emerick, who preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1968. Surviving in addition to her parents are six children: Mrs. Paulette McCoy, Hyndman RD 1; Beverly Keifer, Cumberland; Mrs. Patricia Perdue, with her husband in the Air Force on the island of Formosa; Donald and Leslie, both of Wellersburg, Pa.; and Fay of Cumberland. A brother, Roy A. Lowery, Ellerslie; and four sisters, Mrs. Marian Hosselrode, Hyndman; Mrs. Phyllis Cook and Mrs. Elsie Snelson, Ellerslie; and Mrs. Flossie Smith, Baltimore. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, today from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Other arrangements are incomplete. The Bedford Gazette, April 19, 1969
