- . LAVALE — Roger Lee Winebrenner Sr., 65, of LaVale, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at his home with his family by his side. Born July 28, 1947, in Cumberland, Mr. Winebrenner was the son of the late William Joseph Winebrenner and Elnora (Winebrenner) Winebrenner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Winebrenner; and a sister. Arvada Winebrenner. Roger was a well driller for 29 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Roger was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed by many who knew and loved him. Roger loved and thought the world of his son, daughter, and granddaughters. Roger is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda (Britt) Winebrenner; his son, Roger L. Winebrenner Jr. and wife, Renee and his daughter, Krista (Winebrenner) Kennell and husband, James, all of LaVale. He also leaves behind his granddaughters, Tracey Kennell, Katilyn Kennell, and Emily Winebrenner, all of LaVale; his brothers, David Winebrenner and wife, Nancy, Eckhart, Clarence Winebrenner, Sykesville; his sisters, Wanda Whitehead, Midlothian, Kathleen Gomer and husband, Leroy, Frostburg, Patricia Winebrenner, Chambersburg, PA; Mary Ryan and husband, Raymond, LaVale; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Vicki Cubbage officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Roger’s name to the Adams Family Funeral Home, PA, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD 21502, to help the family with expenses.
