- MOUNT AIRY — Mary Elizabeth Harvey, 86, of Mount Airy, formerly of Cresaptown, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Mount Airy. Born October 27, 1923, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Adam Lemmert and Ada Bell (Folk) Lemmert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jonas Edward Harvey. Mrs. Harvey retired with 23 years of service from the Memorial Hospital Medical Center Federal Credit Union. She was a member of the Cumberland Chapter No. 56 Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are one son, James Edward Harvey, a daughter-in-law, Elaine C Harvey, of Frederick; five grandchildren: Tonya Wolfe of Frederick, Sarah Wilhelm of Greencastle, Pa., David Harvey of York, Pa., Patricia Cabot of Collegeville, Pa., and James E. Harvey Jr. of Tucson, Ariz.; eight great-grandchildren; six nieces; three nephews; two great-nieces and four great-nephews. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Sharon Moody officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
