Notes	Raymond E. "Skane" Minnick, 78, of Schellsburg Street, Hyndman, died Monday, July 11, 1988, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. He was born in Hyndman Nov. 8, 1909, a son of the late Howard and Gertrude May (Porter) Minnick. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle M. Smeak Minnick, who died March 23, 1983; a son, Lloyd J. Minnick; a daughter, Grace M. Minnick, and two brothers, Homer and Robert Minnick. He is survived by four sons: Robert E. Minnick, Buffalo Mills RD 1; Raymond E. Minnick, Ellerslie, Md.; Richard D. Minnick, Sr., Hyndman, and Reggie K. Minnick, Phillippi, W.Va.; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers: Frank, Kenneth and Earl Minnick, all of Hyndman; Lloyd Minnick of Ellerslie, Md., and Guy Minnick of Akron, Ohio; and two sisters: Mrs. Ida Mae Malone, Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Geraldine Kennell, Hyndman RD 1. Mr. Minnick was a retired worker of Block 3, Acetate Department, of the Amcell plant of Celanese Corp., Cumberland, Md. He was a member of Faith Community Church and the Hyndman Rod and Gun Club. Funeral services: Thursday, July 14, at 11 a.m. in the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, with Rev. Terry L. Campbell officiating. Burial in Hyndman Cemetery.
