Daniel Raymond Burley, 68, of 817 Mann’s Terrace, died Friday at Memorial Hospital. Born July 6, 1918, in Cooks Mills, Pa., he was the son of the late William Nelson Burley and Orpha (Madden) Burley. Mr. Burley was a retired employee of Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, with 29 years service in the mill room. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marguerite (Chaney) Burley; three sons, Donald A. Burley, Panama City, Fla.; Daniel R. Burley Jr., Kannapolis, N.C.; Gregory A. Burley, here; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra D. Hobell, Flint-stone; three brothers, George Burley, Stringtown; Clyde Burley, Corriganville; Kenneth Burley, Ellerslie; three sisters, Mrs. Edna McCray, Mount Savage; Mrs. Dorothy Pirkey, here; Miss Charlotte Burley, Stringtown, and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home Sunday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Loyal Kelso.
