  Notes	MOUNT SAVAGE - Mrs. Myrtle A. Rice, 89, Calla Hill, died Monday, June 19, 1989, at Sacred Heart Hospital, where she had been a patient five weeks. Born April 3, 1900, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Susanna (Hutzell) Winebrenner. Her husband, William E. Rice, and one son preceded her in death. Mrs. Rice was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church, Mount Savage, and the Mount Savage Senior Citizens. Surviving are three sons, William G. Rice, Cumberland; Donald C. Rice, Mount Savage; and Elmer W. Rice, Frostburg; three daughters, Mrs. Hilda Shimko, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Ruby Ryan, Turtle Creek, Pa.; and Mrs. Shirley Kenney, LaVale; one grandson whom she reared, Pat Shimko, Corriganville; two brothers, Clinton Winebrenner, Hyndman, Pa.; and Ralph Winebrenner, Slabtown; three sisters, Mrs. Susanna Trimble, Corriganville; Mrs. Elnora Winebrenner, Slabtown; and Mrs. Viola Deal, Frostburg; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church, Mount Savage, with the Rev. Harold E. Bishop officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The litany for the departed will be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. George’s All Souls Memorial Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
