Born March 10, 1908, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Jane (Winebrenner) Crawford. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Gibson Matthews and William Reel. Surviving are one daughter, Laverne Thomas, Bretts, W.Va.; one son, Dale Matthews, Morgantown, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
